Slated for an Eid release, The Bade Miyan Chote Miyan trailer looks like every other Ali Abbas Zafar film.
In the Bade Miyan Chote Miyan trailer, we see Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff shown as two Indian army officers who are put on a mission to take down India’s most dangerous and psychotic villain (played by Prithviraj Sukumaran). Prithviraj’s character has stolen an asset from the Indian army which can be used as a lethal weapon to destroy humanity. Ronit Roy plays the Army chief who gives this mission to his best two officers. Manushi Chillar and Alaya F portray an undercover agent and IT expert respectively who contribute in helping Akshay and Tiger win their mission. Sonakshi Sinha also plays an army officer in the film although how crucial her character would be to the story is still kept under wraps.

The film is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar who has previously made films like the Tiger series starring Salman Khan. This film in terms of action and storytelling does not seem very far to that either. We see Tiger Shroff jumping in the air in slow motion for the nth time and Akshay Kumar delivering heavy patriotic dialogues like ‘hum bharat hai’ or ‘hum dosti ke liye jaan le bhi sakte hai aur de bhi sakte hai’ which usually are the kind of dialogues you hear these days in a genre like this. While we’ve never seen Tiger and Akshay share screen space before, the trailer still does not offer us anything new so far.
We’ve previously seen Tiger do something similar in his recently released Ganpath where he fights a villain who is a threat to humanity, and we’ve seen him in a patriotic thriller like War. Ronit Roy, too, went from playing an army chief in Yodha this month to an army chief in this film. The title is also taken from David Dhawan's 1998 film of the same name starring Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda. The title track is being remade just like many 90s songs are and you can hear that in the trailer in the background. By the looks of the trailer, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan looks like a done and dusted story unless the film has a surprising twist to throw at us. The movie will hit the big screens on April 10 and is produced by Pooja Entertainment and AAZ Films.
