30 years of Kajol: Her characters that make you feel 'me too'

In a 30-year-long career, these characters played by Kajol are so relatable!

Staying relevant in the film industry for 30 years is not easy but Kajol somehow made it look so easy. Kajol started giving back-to-back hits with her debut film, Bekhudi which was released in 1992. Her performance in Bekhudi led her to the role of Priya Chopra in Baazigar for which she won a few awards. And since then she hasn't stopped giving us absolute belters! We loved every role that she has played and no one else could have done it the way she did! With 30 years in the industry, we're hoping there are more to come because we haven't had enough of Simran and her various portrayals of Anjali.

Kajol has given us some elite characters that we cherish and these will forever be stuck in our minds. I don't know about you guys but Mere Khwabon Mein only Anjali is there! Her diversity in choosing roles speaks volumes and we're here for it!

We love these characters played by her!

Kabhi Khusi Kabhi Gham- Anjali

Typical Indian bahu with so much sass and always giving a hard time to her husband, Kajol really balanced her Indian bahu avatar with a little touch of spice. It probably makes her the best character of all time.

Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge- Simran

The carefree girl who just wants to enjoy her life but also falls in love with Raj which completely changes her life. This character gets more and more relatable towards the end what with those emotional af moments with her family.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai - Anjali

Anjali is the girl bestie we all deserve but don't have. Just the way she's dressed in the movie and the way she talks makes us reminisce our college days.

Gupt - Isha Diwan

With Isha Diwan, Kajol played her first negative role in Gupt, and were we hooked or what? Keeping the whole murder bit aside, a part of us relates to her on days when we're being a tad extra!

My Name is Khan - Mandira

Mandira has to be one of the best characters in her career; playing that strong independent woman who wants to fulfill her husband's wish to meet the president.

We Are Family - Maya

Her character in this is a depiction of how a modern family should be, and it's just so great to watch how understanding Kajol's character is in this film. Kajol teaches us how life should be long and not big.

Fanaa - Zooni

Kajol plays a blind character and maybe that's why we fell blindly in love with her. Her just being adorable throughout the movie will make you go Fanaa.

Tribhanga

A story of three generations, Kajol learned a lot of things from her mother, both good and bad things, and just doesn't want to pass those on to her daughter! That just teaches us good parenting.

Kajol also shared a Reel on her Instagram celebrating her characters throughout her career! Check it out!
