Pyar Dosti Hai

Pyaar dosti hai, so call your bestie and watch these amazing movies that prove Ek Ladka Aur Ek Ladki Dost Ho Sakte Hai.

We all need a girl best friend or a guy best friend at some point in our lives, and the fact that some of our friends live far away can compensate by the movies we watch. Cinema has the ability to portray a body of work at its finest form and it has never disappointed us. There have been many movies about friendship but very few where we have seen 'ek ladka and ek ladki' being so close that even we start to ship them.

When Rahul said, "Pyaar Dosti Hai", for the first time we saw the portrayal of that kind of friendship that breaks the stereotype that a boy and a girl can’t be friends. And Rahul and Anjali were clearly better off as friends, yes, I said it! Ever since Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was released, we came across many more movies that broke this stereotype yet again.

Check them out here!

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (Aditi and Bunny)

As the movie goes with the love story between the leads, there's also a sweet friendship shown between Aditi and Bunny and we just know that this is how friends should be in real life!

Mujhse Dosti Karoge (Raj and Tina)

What's a friendship movie without some drama and love? This movie sets my standard high because I don't know when I'm going to find a bestie as adorable as Tina.

Ek Main Hu Aur Ek Tu (Rahul and Riana)

Even though there were feelings involved and there was one-sided love in the movie, in the end, it still gives out a clear message that some souls are just better off as friends not because they don’t love each other but because they were destined to be friends.

The Perks of Being A Wallflower (Charlie and Sam)

The movie’s main focus was around mental health but I just loved how beautifully the friendship between Charlie and Sam is portrayed. A must watch with your bestie!

Love Simon (Simon and Leah)

A best friend and an ally? What more can I ask from a character? Even though the male character comes out as gay, the love between them is still there, instead, it's stronger when they’re friends.

Meri Pyaari Bindu (Bindu and Abhimanyu)

Childhood friends, Abhimanyu and Bindu face friction when she realizes that she doesn't love him after a brief relationship. It’s like watching a string of meet cutes that don’t really lead to much.

Main Hoon Na (Sanjana and Ram)

Ram And Sanjana’s friendship in the movie grew towards the end. It got better and better every time we saw them together. I also loved how protective Ram is about Sanjana!
