New Update
Abhishek Bachchan

From the movies to the OTT world, Abhishek Bachchan has done it all and consistently been around us over these years!

Being the son of one of the most respected and talented actors of Bollywood, he probably knew it was never going to be an easy journey for him. But today, Abhishek Bachchan is known as someone who strives his best to give compelling performances whenever he is on-screen. He has constantly proved his mettle and won hearts with his acting prowess on many occasions. He has never really shied away from experimenting and portraying versatile characters over the span of his career. With his debut movie itself, Refugee, he chose to play a never seen before character rather than playing the quintessential Bollywood romantic hero.

Some of his most notable works are Mannmarziyaan, Ludo, Dasvi and the Dhoom series. All of his characters in these movies are so different from the other. In Dhoom, he plays a cop who'll go to any extent to catch the culprit. In Dasvi he played a politician who learnt the importance of education the hard way. In Ludo, he is a man on a journey for revenge for his family and in Mannmarziyan he portrayed the complexities of marriage and more. He also played the iconic role of Bob Biswas, which was initially played by Saswata Chatterjee who had scared us enough as an antagonist by portraying the role. But to fill the shoes of someone who has already left a huge mark is not something many actors feel secure enough to do.

Some of his light hearted rom-coms like, Bunty aur Babli which is till date is one of Bollywood's most hilarious movies would feel so incomplete if he were not a part of it. Or Delhi 6, in which songs like 'Sasural Genda Phool' are still a part of our playlist. Dostana, an extremely funny, two hero film that gained lots of attention because of Abhishek and John's camaraderie, shows that he is open to sharing screen space with his contemporary without feeling threatened about his own career or how he'd look in the film.

Guru, a loosely based biopic on Dhirubhai Ambani filled the cinema houses back then because of his conviction of the character and of course because of his chemistry with his now wife Aishwarya Rai. Speaking of working with his family, Sarkar Raj was a film where the audience really loved seeing the 'Bachchan parivaar' together after their hit song 'Kajra Re'. And his experimentation as an actor spread wide in the OTT world too when he debuted with his crime drama series, 'Breathe Into The Shadows' which has gained a lot of popularity over its two seasons.

An actor with a filmography so diverse, a person who carries himself so well in public and his humor that could light up the entire room, We wish this gem of a human being a very Happy Birthday and nothing but the best!
