Golf is becoming popular in India with many Indian sports personalities winning accolades for the same. Aditi Ashok is one such sportswoman who has made a name for herself and the country with this game on a global level.
Belonging from the digital hub of India, Banglore, Aditi Ashok has set her path in becoming a well-known sportswoman in India. With her father Ashok Gudlamani who is always by her side, Aditi began playing golf at the age of five and continue to do so.
As a young Indian sports personality, with laurels coming her way, Aditi stands as an inspiration to many young women in the country. She is the first Indian to have secured the Lalla Aicha Tour School and the Ladies European Tour card for the 2016 season. She is also the first Indian to have won the Ladies European Tour Title after her win at 2016 Hero Women's Indian Open. She finished eighth at the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year standings becoming the first LPGA player from India in 2017. With her career-best T6 result at the Volunteers of America LPGA Texas Classic in 2018 with 17 cuts at 24 events and 13 cuts out of 22 LPGA events in 2019.
