Alia Bhatt promises to always be 'the moon' as she plays a fierce mafia queen in Sanjay Leela Banshali's movie, Gangubai Kathiawadi.
The teaser of the much-awaited Alia Bhatt starrer, Gangubai Kathiawadi was released by the makers on the occasion of filmmaker and director of the film, Sanjay Leela Bansali's 58th birthday. The film is based on Gangubai Kothewali from a chapter of Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens of Mumbai where she is the madam of a brothel in Kamathipura.
Alia who has played a variety of characters before will be seen playing an independent, feisty and strong individual. Donning a different dialect and body language, the actor is all set to surprise her fans with her performance.
The movie will also see Ajay Devgan make a special appearance as Karim Lala. Like all his other movies, SLB has captured the actor in the most beautiful frames. Fans shared their reactions to the teaser and had all praises for the actor.

I am very very excited and also nervous about Gangubai. Though I don't like that director much but I know he will bring out the best performance. It's an extremely challenging role & Alia is going to rock I believe.
