The most awaited verdict of all times was finally made on 9th November 2019. The Supreme court unanimously made the judgement and passed the Ayodhya Case verdict on Saturday.

The constitutional bench which comprised of five judges headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi, and comprising of Justices SA Bobde, DY Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan and S Abdul Nazeermade, listened to both parties in a 40-day-long marathon of hearing appeals filed against the three-way division of the disputed site by the Allahabad High Court in 2010. After a long wait, the Ayodhya Case verdict is finally here.

The case which has been a constant part of political discourse began after an idol of Lord Ram was found in the mosque in December 1949. This then went on to create tension resulting in the demolition of the mosque in December 1992. The hearing which was scheduled to end on October 18 was rescheduled to October 17, and the court was to announce a final verdict on the Ayodhya case before the Chief Justice leaves office on November 17. The Ayodhya Case verdict was finally made by the Supreme Court on Saturday. The judgement allotted the disputed Ayodhya land to the Ramjanmabhoomi Trust and an alternative piece of five acres of land to the Muslims for the construction of a mosque.
