Babli Bouncer, a generic coming-of-age, female-centric movie that's written by Amit Joshi was an instant hit among the Janta. It premiered on Disney+ Hotstar on September 23 and it has created quite a stir! Tamannaah Bhatia plays Babli Tanwar, the protagonist of the movie, and Abhishek Bajaj plays her love interest. On the other hand, Sahil Vaid is shown as Tamannaah's childhood friend who also happens to have a crush on her. Too many love interests in this movie make it a rather interesting watch! The Janta also seemed to have liked Tamannaah's Haryanvi tone more than the movie.
After a hiatus, Madhur Bhandarkar has turned into a different lens with his movies, and this one is about the booming business of bouncers in metros and its supply chain in Haryana villages. Babli Tanwar) is an uneducated young woman from a small village in Delhi where basically everyone is a bouncer. We can also see a love affair between Tamannaah Bhatia and Abhishek Bajaj (Viraj Kaushik) who was previously seen in Student of the Year 2. It was also very impressive to see a well-meaning father (Saurabh Shukla) who allows his daughter, Babli to chase her dreams.
I was a little excited about the movie because I like such premises, usually. I won't go ahead and say it was an amazing watch, but it did put a smile on my face :")
I think I expected more from the climax, but it did deliver on what it promised.
Watched #BabliBouncer today. My word, I loved the film. @tamannaahspeaks was absolutely brilliant in the film. Arguably one of her best performances till date. Deserves so much praise. Truly!❤️
#BabliBouncer is such a good movie. Absolutely loved all the actors and their performances. Not a single dull moment in the movie, was engaging from start till the end.
