Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol or Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif, these onscreen pairs have our hearts for the chemistry they brought to the table!

Without love, in one form or the other, be it familial, a friendship, or loving a soulmate, we feel empty inside. Hence, when you look closely, every story is essentially a love story whether it's a crime thriller, horror, psychological mystery, tragedy, or something else. Maybe that's why we're all just hopeless romantics constantly pursuing, craving, or dreaming of love or being loved. And one can definitely agree that many of these films are responsible for setting unrealistic standards for us with the chemistry shown between onscreen pairs.

With the start of this year and all the amazing titles slated to be released, what's commonly seen is the collaboration of new artists, whether it is Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone or Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. But the one pair who hit it out of the park is Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif in Merry Christmas! It didn't feel like the film was bringing them close together or brewing a love story, they were simply two people who hit it off without expecting to fall deeply in love. Both the actor's chemistry was like Irrfan Khan and Deepika Padukone's in Piku, Ranbir Kapoor and Konkona Sen Sharma's in Wake Up Sid, or Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt's in Raazi - unexpectedly nice, easy, and super flowy.

While we would love to watch more of these non-cliche onscreen pairings that we are getting to witness on the large screen, there are some timeless pairs we miss watching onscreen like Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha, Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit, or Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and who can forget the eternal - Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol! Though SRK's sheer brilliance comes into play when one talks about his chemistry with all his main leads like Juhi Chawla, Rani Mukherjee, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Deepika Padukone, and many more, very few have been able to be as effortless as SRK-Kajol! No wonder the internet couldn't help but remember them when the lack of chemistry was felt between Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in Tum Kya Mile from RARKPK.

But when we talk about fitting in perfectly with each other, here's who also comes to mind - Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma and Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta. These onscreen pairs have a unique sense of fun friendship along with their romantic chemistry that makes them look so real, even when they are fictitious. Who doesn't want a little bit of reality sprinkled with fiction in our very real lives after all?

There are many more onscreen couples that we have fallen for over the years. Like Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Sridevi, Dharmendra and Hema Malini and so many more. And who can forget Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla, both of whom looked so cute together in the films they've done! TBH, the list is endless because our hopeless romantic hearts will always crave for this magical chemistry. Don't we all wish that Geet-Aditya or Raj-Simran were real? I mean, it's not too much to expect a litte of what they share for our own love lives too, no? Our fascination and love towards these onscreen couples is given because their chemistry is so good that, in so many ways, they give us ultimate couple goals for us to start having unrealistic standards for our lives.
