Helmed by A Harsha, Baaghi 4 is written and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and is inspired by the 2013 Tamil film Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu by Sasi.
Keeping in line with Bollywood’s obsession with loud and gory action thrillers, last week saw the release ofBaaghi 4, starring Tiger Shroff, Harnaaz Sandhu, and Sanjay Dutt. The film opened to lukewarm reviews by the critics, with most of them being disappointed by the weak storyline, poor character and plot developments. The film has, however, left the Janta divided as it is largely receiving a mixed response on social media platforms. While a big section of the audience is dissatisfied with how familiar the film looks to recent mass-actioners in terms of its treatment, the viewers are also in awe of Shroff’s dark and bold avatar as Ronny. Fans of the genre seem to like the film for its elaborate stunts and action sequences.
Check out what the Janta has to say!

The mixed response on social media is also mirroring the film’s box office collections. According to Trade analyst, Sumit Kadel, the film raked up Rs. 37.14 crores on its first weekend, opening to Rs. 13.20 crores on Friday, followed by a dip in collections with Rs. 11.34 crores and Rs. 12.60 crores on Saturday and Sunday respectively. The film’s four-day collection now stands at Rs. 42.54 crores (nett) with the actioner underperforming considerably with earnings of just Rs. 5.40 crores on Monday.
While Baaghi 4 is managing to make the most of the franchise value and its popularity among action film enthusiasts, it will be interesting to see how it competes with the last installment of the popular horror franchise The Conjuring: Last Rites, which has so far managed to outperform it with the collections of Rs. 54.57 crores in the Indian market.
