#BhoolChukMaaf delivers a fantastic opening weekend... While discounted tickets and promotional offers on Friday helped boost initial footfalls, the film posted excellent numbers on Saturday and Sunday purely on merit.
The makers and exhibitors of the film got into a legal tussle after the producer cancelled the theatrical release of the film and announced its OTT release for May 16 owing to the India-Pakistan tensions. This led to multiplex giant PVR INOX filing a Rs. 60 crore lawsuit against Maddock Films, citing a breach of contract. Eventually, the movie hit the big screens on May 23.
Helmed by Karan Sharma, Bhool Chuk Maaf also features Seema Pahwa, Sanjay Mishra, Raghubir Yadav, and Zakir Hussain. As the weekdays approach, it will be interesting to see if the film sustains its momentum and manages to rake up exciting numbers at the box office.
