After exactly a year’s gap, Elphaba and Glinda’s story picks up from where it left off and the fans have a lot to say about the conclusion of the epic saga!
Wicked: For Good directed by Jon M.Chu and produced by Universal Studios is adapted from the iconic Broadway musical of the same name and inspired by the Wizard of Oz movie back in the 40s. The story revolves around Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Glinda (Ariana Grande), and how their friendship was tested because of the choices they made. Elphaba was named ‘The Wicked Witch of the West’ because she stood up against The Wizard (Jeff Goldblum). Glinda became Glinda: The Good Witch because she obeyed what Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh) instructed her to do. Prince Fiyero(Jonathan Bailey) becomes the head of the search hunt for Elphaba and is also Glinda’s fiancee at this point. How Elphaba proves her innocence and saves the Ozians from the Wizard’s lies is what part two is all about!
The fans seem to have loved the cinematography, the visuals, but mainly the performances by the whole cast. Particularly Ariana Grande is being garnered with a lot of praises from the fans for literally becoming Glinda and beautifully bringing that character to life. The internet is already creating an Oscar buzz for her performance! But while there are good things being spoken about the film, there are also few who felt the movie was average at best. The story and the performances land but it did not seem extraordinary to many and felt part one was way better than the conclusion!

Wicked: For Good keeps Elphaba and Glinda’s journey front and center, delivering an emotional gut punch as they fight to do what’s right, even when it hurts. A couple sluggish side plots underutilize screen time, but the finale lands with real power. #WickedForGoodhttps://t.co/CykSY7P0depic.twitter.com/AXjRwdt2pf

- cynthia and ariana give the performances of a lifetime
- the movie is properly good from wonderful onwards
- both new songs were bad and nplh in particular slowed the pace down.
- marrissa and michelle were miscast acting wise as well
