6 Bollywood Diwali movies you can watch if you're away from family and friends this festive season!

This Diwali let's watch these Bollywood Diwali movies and relive the nostalgia of being with loved ones while we weep from start to end!

Diwali is one of those Indian festivals where the entire family comes together and celebrates by playing music and games and eating lots of sweets till we can't eat anymore. It's also when we sit together as a family and watch some classics like Hum Saath Saath Hai and cherish the time we spend together. And doing all this is exactly what makes Diwali even more special. Bollywood Diwali movies have warmth and make you feel wanted which is what we crave most when we're away from home!

Everything about home and festivals is romanticized at such a time, even the traffic and crowd on the roads before the festival and that 'mummy ki chachi' who is very interested in your love life. Watching classics like Hum Aapke Hai Koun or English Vinglish will feel like a tight hug because it's full of fam feels. And you definitely want that when you can't be physically present especially during festivals!

Check out these movies that remind you of 'ghar wali' Diwali!

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham ( Netflix)

A movie like K3G is a big part of our childhood and just watching scenes where the whole family is together makes us fall in love with our family. K3G reminds me of my family time, obviously with all the drama included. It's made so family-centric that it screams love for family!

Hum Saath Saath Hai (Netflix)

Another fam-jam movie with a lot of scenes from the movie that every family should do on Diwali. Like the whole family doing the Sangeet was just so much fun. Watching something like this will definitely make you miss your family but also comfort you.

Hum Aapke Hai Koun (Netflix)

A family playing bunch of games together gives so much serotonin to one's soul. The happiness this movie shows among family gives Diwali so much meaning. And obviously, the iconic Antakshari game leaves us missing our family even more.

Mohabbatein (Amazon Prime)

Pairon Mein Bandhan Hai has a special place in everyone’s heart and makes the little Diwali heart happy. Not a movie about family per se but the love it shows among friends makes it a feel-good Diwali watch! And also Amitabh Bachchan's regret over losing his daughter, if that doesn't break your heart, you're made of stone!

Taare Zameen Par (Netflix)

This movie was way ahead of its time! A little boy was sent away to boarding school but an art teacher showed interest in him because he found out that he had Dyslexia. Sometimes when family isn't around you find comfort in other people and that's okay too! This is why you should watch this film this Diwali and by the time the Ma song plays, we know we'd be bawling our eyes out.

English Vinglish (Eros Now)

English Vinglish is not a family love movie at first because everyone in Shashi's life keeps making her feel like she isn't enough. But the way love develops within characters is so just so enchanting to watch!
