Radheshyam Tiwari and Anjali (Hungama

Radheshyam Tiwari and Anjali are the epitome of our topic today! The couple is prone to over-dramatic outbursts and often resort to expressing their emotions with theatrical flair. Tiwari is a believer of simple living, while Anjali on the other hand is a bit of exhibitionist. Their contrasting personalities often lead to hilarious arguments and misunderstandings, but it's also what makes the couple and ultimately the film extremely entertaining.

Tanu and Manu (Tanu Weds Manu Returns)

Tanu is a flamboyant and free-spirited woman who lives her life unapologetically. Manu, on the other hand, is a man of shy, predictable and conventional nature. They often drive each other crazy with their arguments and differences of opinion. Their contrasting perspectives on life, ego clashes, drama, and brutal realizations at the end make their romance endearing yet entertaining.

Bunty and Babli (Bunty Aur Babli)

Bunty Aur Babli is a story of two con artists who are not only partners in crime but eventually also become partners in life. Their love track is full of banter and teasing while their heists are marked by grand planning, narrow escapes and great artistry. Their adventurous outings and life experiences strengthen their chaotic relationship while providing the audience with a great dose of humor.

Prem and Sandhya (Dum Laga Ke Haisha

This mismatched couple’s relationship starts with a marriage of convenience. Prem, a school drop-out, agrees to marry Sandhya, an educated, confident but overweight girl due to family pressure. His family forces him for this alliance thinking of financial help Sandhya could bring to the struggling family given her qualifications. The couple’s initial interactions are awkward and problematic as Prem considers himself too good for Sandhya and displays toxic behaviour. Their relationship gradually blossoms into genuine love and care after they steer their relationship through all the misunderstandings and erroneous impressions and accept each other for who they are.

Jai and Aditi (Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na):

College best friends, Jai and Aditi’s bond is characterized by playful teasing, banter, deep conversations and the charm of unacknowledged feelings. Again, Aditi is an extroverted, straight -forward girl while Jai is a shy but extremely affable boy. Their refusal to admit and acknowledge their love for each other often creates exasperation and chaos among their friends and audiences.

Nick and Ambar (Salaam Namaste)

The film chronicles the story of two youngsters, Nick and Ambar, who have left their homes in India to make a life on their own in Melbourne, Australia. Nick, who holds a degree in architecture, follows his real passion of cooking.and works at a restaurant, as a head chef. Ambar, on the other hand, moves to the country after rejecting over a dozen marriage proposals. She decides to become a surgeon and to support her education, she works as an R.J. at a local radio station, 'Salaam Namaste'.

The rom-com follows one year of their lives, where they deal with the ups and downs of their relationship. Their love story, too is marked by misunderstandings, misjudgements and chaos. Right from the time when Nick doesn’t show up for a radio interview with Ambar, to their first meeting, their decision to move in together and break-up and then to eventually realize their love for each other- The movie is a hilarious ride that captures the essence of modern-day love.
