New social media challenges and trends never stop making their way onto the internet and all over social media. The latest one involves an aging face filter and these celebrity photos will definitely leave you laughing out loud.

They say life moves pretty fast and even more so on the internet. New trends, innovations, and memes make their way to the worldwide web every single day. And if you’re too slow or busy, you might miss out on some massive amounts of entertainment. After making bottle tops fly off in every possible way, netizens have now moved onto another trend and this one doesn’t involve kicking (phew!). It will in fact remind you of the 10-year challenge, the only difference is, this one involves an app and shows your future (kinda). And before you ask, no, it doesn’t have superpowers but an app with the aging filter

The internet’s latest obsession is an application called FaceApp that shows a much older version of your current self. The app can create a realistic transformation of your face using various filters and options. It has people hooked and even celebs can’t stop sharing photos of themselves.

Take a look at these celebrities photos with the aging filter:

Nick’s video suggests that something else is at play with the recent 10-year challenge and the current aging one. A lot of other netizens also agree that that the App is being used to train facial recognition algorithms on age progression and age recognition. Which was also the case during the 10-year challenge.

What do you think? Also, more importantly, are you also wondering, how long it will be until people try these on their pets?
