Universal idleness has made the netizens experiment with absurd trends and challenges. From people spending hours on making a coffee or wearing a pillow as a dress to us wondering if the phone we are holding is real or cake, we have seen almost faced every challenge in 2020, the most bizarre being the Coronavirus! One thing that has got people hooked on to is the trending Binod meme. Who is Binod and why is Binod trending???!!!

A famous YouTube channel named Slayy Point run by Abhyudaya and Gautami recently uploaded a video titled “Why Indian Comments Section is Garbage (BINOD)”. To their utter surprise, the comments section in these videos gave birth to a meme.

The video was about how people comment on Youtube video in India. One of the YouTube users, Binod Tharu, successfully wrote his own name ‘Binod’ without adding anything else in the comments or getting interrupted by other comments. This intrigued the online community and soon people started commenting Binod on YouTube live streams and on Instagram posts of their friends or even influencers! This has encouraged a series of content on one of the most common trends on Twitter.
