"I did end this podcast early due to bad air quality," says Bryan Johnson about his recent appearance at Nikhil Kamath's podcast WTF.

Bryan Johnson, who is known for his peculiar and extraordinary lifestyle, was recently in India. He is known for his anti-ageing research that has him living a certain lifestyle that would have anyone asking questions. But what particularly caught people’s attention from his recent visit to India was him walking out of Nikhil Kamath’s podcast 'WTF'.

Johnson was one of the guests on the latest episode of Nikhil Kammath’s podcast that discussed the future of health and wellness and what it would look like in a time when AI continues to invade every space. While discussing his idea of longevity and his ongoing research, Bryan decided to use an N95 mask despite the presence of air purifiers in the room. However, he decided to discontinue the conversation and later decided to point out his reason on social media - India’s air quality.

The millionaire has always talked about the informed experiments that focus on reversing his age and a lot is dependent on having a clean internal system. India's AQI continues to decrease in quality which clearly hinders his way of living. While justifying his recent 'walk out' from the podcast, Bryan laid out statics and reports highlighting the side effects of this bad AQI on him.

In this tweet, Johnson talks about PM2.5 pollutants from traffic emissions over 12 weeks and how they are particularly harmful penetrating deep into the lungs and entering circulation. He also highlighted how there is no safe level of exposure and urged authorities to prioritize tackling air pollution, especially in heavily polluted cities. He then went on to talk about how Indians have normalised pollution.

“This was my third day in India, and the air pollution had caused my skin to break out in a rash, with my eyes and throat burning. Pollution is so deeply normalised that no one even notices it anymore, despite the well-documented health risks. People were outside running, and babies and small children were exposed from birth. No one wore a mask, which could significantly reduce exposure. It was baffling,” he wrote on X.

If anything, Bryan's move has only opened conversations about the air quality of our country and the zero to no efforts put by the authorities and citizens to better this deteriorating situation.
