content creators with Down Syndrome

These content creators are spreading awareness about the endless possibilities that people with Down Syndrome have, simply by showing us how it's done via their social media.

Social media has always vouched to be an inclusive space that lets people enjoy being a part of a community that shares the same passion. Content creation, now a synonym for social media itself, has produced and welcomed many such creative minds. The individuals in question may not fit your “ideal” image of what a model, actor, fashion influencer, or artist should look like, but their contribution to art makes them so inspiring and this includes people with Down Syndrome. They're often looked at with bias and low expectations because of the prejudice formed against them that often stems from a lack of awareness about their capabilities.

They'd frequently be seen as people who need caretaking rather than being recognized for what they can contribute. However, over the years, some creators with Down Syndrome have managed to stand out in the online space due to their talent. Standing as examples to last year's viral campaign for World Down Syndrome Day, featuring Madison Telvin's ‘Assume that I can,’ these creators are helping us defy traditional perceptions of individuals with disabilities.
