content predictions in 2025

As we step into a new year, creators Shyamolie Parikh, Gayu, and Tinna Loaiza predict what might work in 2025 in the social media space. Take a look at this list and plan your content accordingly.

The social media game is too wild for anyone to decipher what works on each platform. Even the weather forecast can make the right predictions about rains but it's nearly impossible to know what will be a hit online. Every viral brain rot content just goes on to show just that. This is exactly why, when creators, who have been part of the industry for so long, share their ideas on what they think works and what doesn't, people listen. Shyamolie Parikh, Gayu, and Tinna Loaiza who have been sharing content that is unique to themselves, had an inkling of all the trends and formats that were a hit on social media and deserve a second chance. Taking inspiration from everything they saw and shared on their own page in 2024, these creators managed to curate a list of trends and formats they think might work in 2025.

Original voice: Tina mentioned how content that focuses on people sharing their voices and opinions, rather than jumping on trends and viral formats will be something people will be sharing more of.

AI in content creation: Although Tina, Shyamolie and Gayu know that there are people who hate it, they talk about how one cannot deny the impact that it has had in the last year. According to Shyamolie, AI's involvement can be balanced if people using it to 'amplify' their content rather than replace it.

Unique fonts: Shyamolie and Gayu both believe that unique fonts on posts that were quite popular in 2024 will continue in 2025. While they add to the aesthetics of a creator's post, they also helps engage people in the longer stories the creators have to share.

Eclectic aesthetic: Tina predicts that eclectic aesthetics will continue to shine on Instagram, especially since the platform has always been about aesthetics and finding your own style. The eclectic aesthetic is nothing but having a fusion of different elements, designs, colors, and fonts to create something unique. According to her, having a feed with an eclectic aesthetic will allow creators to play around with the theme that suits their content and aligns with what a brand has to share.

Storytelling: In contrast to people just talking about brands, there will be more humanizing of the brands and sharing stories of why they believe it works. These creators are confident that UGC (User Generated Content) with strong storytelling will be bigger than ever. This also includes storytelling via carousels rather than just using Reels as a format to share those stories.

Alternate content ideas: While people have been sharing videos exclusively, especially since the algorithm works in its favor, Tina assumes that creators will be eager to indulge in more than just Reels and produce more carousels and single posts that will engage with their audience.
