This year saw platforms expand in terms of features, and there have been a bunch that work for both creators and the audience. Here's everything we liked in 2024.
Just like us humans, every year social media platforms need a glow-up that will help boost the online space. With the growing traffic and popularity of social media platforms, it is only fair for these platforms to come up with features that will benefit both the users and the audience. Content creation that relies heavily on them needs the right tools to help make them. Last year, we saw multiple social media platforms introduce new features that became an aid to the creator community. As this year comes to an end, we made a list of these platform features launched in 2024 that were both a hit and miss among the users.

Here are some of the platform features of 2024:
Creator Lab: Instagram launched a new educational resource for aspiring creators called Creator Lab and shared information about the numerous product features released in recent weeks. Creator Lab contained content from creators, who shared their experiences and insights, including what they wish they had known when they started and what they have learned through trial and error.
Music on Instagram: Looking at how music is driving creativity and connections on Instagram, Instagram released adding music to our profile, in Content Notes. It also introduced the Multitrack Audio on Reels, allowing the audience the option to add up to 20 tracks to a single Reel.
Instagram Story: The Instagram stories also got an upgrade as people have an option to sent a direct notification to followers with the help of Notify sticker. The Reveal sticker was another feature that allowed creators to maintain secrecy and build intrigue. Cutouts also became a thing allowing people to be more creative with what they have to share. The Frames sticker was another feature that people have been using a lot this year.

These notes, limited to 60 characters, will be visible for up to three days and can be seen by friends while scrolling through their feeds.
