From Darshan Magdum's cutout walking on the red carpet at the Grammys to YouTube expanding auto-dubbing, here's what's been popping in the world of social media.

Podcaster Raj Shamani hosts the Grammy Award-winning artist Yungblud, aka Dominic Harrison, on his podcast Figuring Out. They discussed insecurities, confidence and how true art is selfish because it's not created to please others. Meanwhile, YouTuber Prajakta Kholi attended the Web Summit Qatar 2026 in Doha, where she discussed the future of content creation, alongwith breaking the platform mould to promote creativity. She also announced her film Netflix project, 'Operation Safed Sagar'. Meta brought Yuvraj Dua and Neena Gupta together in an ad to spread awareness regarding the rise in digital scams. YouTuber KSI featured Samay Raina and Tanmay Bhat on his 'Try not to laugh' challenge video, while the Boy Throb band took a cutout of Darshan Magdum to the Grammys.

In a major update to privacy settings, WhatsApp is developing its own version of close friends. It works similarly to Instagram's 'Close Friends' feature, allowing users to share their status with selected people. Alongside Instagram's editing app, Edits has received a new update that allows users the interlinking feature. Apart from that, YouTube has expanded its auto-dubbing feature by removing it from the paywall and adding 27 new languages to help creators and their audience.
