As they made their ramp walk debut at Lakmé Fashion Week 2025 Delhi edition, we caught up with Devansh Kamboj and Maggi to hear how they handled the experience.
Over the past few years, we’ve started seeing creators step onto the runway alongside professional models, and it has opened up a whole new conversation about how fashion shows can reach different audiences and feel more relatable. At this year’s Lakmé Fashion Week, Devansh Kamboj and Maggi walked for Tasva by Tarun Tahiliani, and managed to make their mark.
From wearing an incredible and well crafted outfits from the collection to the energy they brought on the ramp, their debut together was something to be celebrated. We caught up with them to hear what was going through their minds while on the ramp, the backstage preparations, and more.

Here is that they shared:
What was running through your mind right before you stepped on that ramp?
It was honestly a mix of nerves and excitement, the kind of adrenaline rush you can’t really explain. Walking the ramp together for the first time made it even more special, and there were definitely a lot of emotions all at once.
When you first tried on the outfit, what was your honest reaction? Did it instantly feel like “you,” or did you grow into it while rehearsing and walking?
The moment we tried the outfits on, we were genuinely in awe of how beautifully they were crafted and structured. They made us feel instantly confident and comfortable, like they were designed just for us.
The ramp moment lasts only a few seconds, but the preparation behind it (mentally and physically) can be intense. Was there a particular thought, emotion, or ritual that grounded you before walking out?
The actual walk lasted barely 10 to 15 seconds, but things backstage were moving so fast that we barely had a moment to take it all in. In that rush, we just reminded ourselves to stay present, enjoy every bit of it, and be true to who we are on that ramp.
Fashion weeks are traditionally about models and designers, but creators bring a new kind of relatability and digital influence to the ramp. What do you think this crossover says about how fashion is changing today?
We’ve always admired how models bring collections to life, but when brands include creators on the ramp, it adds an entirely new layer to the story. It allows the collection to be seen through different personalities and styles, making it more relatable and accessible. Fashion weeks have traditionally been about models and designers, but this crossover shows how the industry is evolving and it’s becoming more inclusive, dynamic, and connected to the audience that lives and breathes fashion online.
If you had to describe that ramp walk in one word or one song title, what would it be and why?
If we had to sum it up, we’d call it unforgettable. It was such a special and memorable experience for both of us.
