S8UL wins Esports Content Group of the Year for the fourth time, Animesh “8Bit Thug” Agarwal crowned Esports Personality of the Year.

S8UL Esports created a landmark moment for Indian gaming at the Esports Awards 2025 in Las Vegas. The organisation won Esports Content Group of the Year for the fourth time, while co-founder Animesh “8Bit Thug” Agarwal was named Esports Personality of the Year. With this, S8UL became the first Indian organisation to take home two titles in the same edition of the awards.

Often referred to as the Oscars of gaming, the Esports Awards recognise leading global talent each year. S8UL’s win comes during a year in which the team also competed at the Esports World Cup, sharing the stage with some of the biggest international names. Their fourth Content Group win placed them above major global organisations such as T1, Team Liquid, Fnatic and Sentinels.

Reacting to the wins, Agarwal said the recognition felt “surreal” and credited the community’s support, adding that the moment reflects the growing visibility of Indian gaming on the world stage.

Indian creators also made their presence felt across other major categories. Payal Dhare, known as Payal Gaming, was nominated for Streamer of the Year alongside Kai Cenat, xQc, Jynxzi and other top global streamers. The award went to Darren “IShowSpeed” Watkins Jr, but Dhare’s nomination highlighted the increasing global footprint of Indian creators. Raj Varma was shortlisted for Esports Content Creator of the Year, with the title ultimately won by Nicholas “Jynxzi” Stewart.

Co-founders Naman “Mortal” Mathur and Lokesh “Goldy” Jain said the recognition reflects years of work by the team and the broader Indian gaming community.

S8UL’s wins add to a growing list of international milestones for Indian esports, marking another step in the scene’s rapid global rise.
