We spoke to creators on how they think content creation has become more inclusive over the years and what still needs to change.
Content creation today has opened up the space for expression in a way that feels really democratic, allowing people from all kinds of backgrounds and experiences to share their voices. This takes away the need for traditional platforms and gatekeepers who once controlled access to them. With social media becoming accessible both in terms of who can create and who can watch, audiences now get to see stories, ideas, and talents that don’t always need to be a part of the mainstream media. This kind of access has made it easier than ever for different communities, conversations, and creative expressions to reach people in simple yet powerful ways.
Of course, this openness comes with its own challenges, and social media isn’t always the kindest or safest space to exist in, but even with its imperfections, there is a growing sense of acceptance and relatability that continues to encourage people to show up and share. In light of this shift, we asked content creators Kanisha Malhotra, Jatin Aggarwal, Shilpa Chaudhary, Ansh Tripathi, Sankhadeep and Chetan Suthar about what they believe is the most meaningful change this democratization of expression has brought for us and what kind of changes they still hope to see in the times ahead.

Kanisha Malhotra, "I believe that the industry has grown a lot in the last couple of years. When I started creating content in 2018, there were like a couple of creators only and we used to call it blogging instead of content creation. We didn’t know what content creation is.
And in the upcoming years there is a saturation coming, even though it is a billion dollar industry, there are so many creators who have come that a lot of creators are not getting the kind of limelight they should get. So for me I am expecting a change into a series sort of platform. So like people starting to make series instead of just doing normal content so that is something I am really hoping and expecting that there are more and more organic sort of content which is more from creators point of view. And from an industry point of view we get more original content creators, and they get the limelight."
Jatin Aggarwal, "Content creation has become a great storytelling tool to community building and creating a personal brand image. I’m most excited about how authenticity and honesty brings out the best in the market! I’d love to see more knowledge and insights that prioritize creator well-being alongside growth!"
Shilpa Chaudhary, "The content creation world has grown from casual clips to powerful voices that shape culture. I’m excited to see more creators turning passion into purpose. What I’d love to see next? A more supportive, inclusive space where creators lift each other up, because there’s room for all of us to shine."
Ansh Tripathi, "Content creation has grown from casual posts to powerful personal brands. It is really interesting how creators now educate, motivate, and build genuine communities. I’d love to see more focus on mental health and long term sustainability in the creator ecosystem."
Sankhadeep, "Content creation isn't just trends and filters anymore, it’s people showing up raw, real, and unapologetically themselves. What excites me is the power it holds to transform lives overnight and create meaningful impact. I’d love to see a more inclusive creator community where everyone, no matter their stage is supported and celebrated."
Chetan Suthar, "Content creation has grown so much from just posting for fun to building real careers. I’m excited to see more creators finding their own voice and connecting with people in meaningful ways. I’d love to see more collaboration over competition creators growing together, not against each other"
