Prajakta Koli and Vrishank Khanal’s intimate wedding ceremony was all about standout elements with a balance of modern trends and unique personal touches. Here's everything we loved!
Prajakta Koli has officially tied the knot with Vrishank Khanal in a wedding that effortlessly balanced minimalism with the grandeur of Indian weddings. The aesthetic choices made throughout the celebrations prove that elegance doesn’t always have to come with excessive opulence. Each of Prajakta's celebrations was a reflection of her unique personality. One can look at her celebration as a lookbook for their own wedding, especially if you are looking to make it a celebration that highlights your own love story in every decor.

Here's what we loved!
Her poolside mehendi was definitely different from what we have seen and loved. Embracing earthy tones, with orange marigold flowers, custom Ikat prints, and clay pots, it created an organic yet festive mood. The wooden pillars adorned with jharokas added an old-world charm to the setting.
When it came to her wedding wardrobe, Prajakta made a statement by choosing craftsmanship over convention. For the mehendi, she donned an emerald-green ensemble by Anita Dongre, featuring an intricately hand-embroidered ankle-length skirt and a waistcoat-style blouse. The outfit was handcrafted by women artisans of the SEWA foundation, adding a deeper significance beyond just aesthetics.
The haldi ceremony, set against a serene lakeside view also looked equally beautiful. Prajakta chose an ivory sharara with delicate gota patti work by Roze, while Vrishank complemented her in a matching kurta set, creating a harmonious yet understated look.
However, it was the wedding itself that truly reflected the couple’s vision. The décor was a vision in white and sage, with cascading floral strings, chandeliers, ferns, and foliage creating an ethereal atmosphere. The serenity of the setup was mirrored in Prajakta’s bridal lehenga, which carried a deeply personal touch.
Having decided early on that she didn’t want to wear red, Prajakta chose an Anita Dongre lehenga adorned with Parijat patterns. She had mentioned in an interview earlier about how her name ‘Prajakta’ is another word for the Parijat flower, which also made for an adorable connection. The lehenga also featured intricate Pichwai paintings and, to her delight, pockets. She completed her bridal look with two dupattas and stunning Anita Dongre jewellery, while Vrishank opted for a classic ivory ensemble that beautifully complemented her golden attire.
Prajakta and Vrishank’s wedding was officiated by a female priest, a refreshing change from the usual male-led ceremonies. This is a step in breaking away from traditional gender norms that have long dictated such rituals. This was not the first time a celebrity chose a female priest, but it certainly added an inspiring touch to an already unique celebration.
For the reception, Prajakta embraced a traditional touch, wearing a beautiful red Benarasi silk saree gifted to her by Vrishank’s family. She paired it with a classic Maharashtrian nath, honoring her roots, while Vrishank wore the traditional Nepali Daura-Suruwal, adding a cultural significance to their final wedding look.
Every choice, from the decor to the outfits, felt intentional and deeply personal. It was a beautiful reminder that the most memorable celebrations are the ones that feel true to who you are.
