Viral moments, opinion-packed reels, and memes that felt a little too relatable, this week’s reel trends had the internet doing what it does best: scroll, react, repeat.

The internet moved through its usual rhythm this week, some moments made us laugh, others made us pause, and a few just slipped by without much notice. As users joined in on trends, shared relatable memes, and reacted to whatever popped up next, our feeds once again became a reflection of everything people are thinking, feeling, or simply scrolling past. Here's a quick round-up of what stood out this week.

The Andy Byron–Kristin Cabot Coldplay scandal

After the whole controversy where Astronomer's CEO Andy Byron and their Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot were caught on the kiss cam at a Coldplay concert, people on the internet just couldn’t stop talking about it. It became the main topic of discussion for the entire week, with everyone sharing their own opinions, takes, and of course, loads of memes. What made it even wilder was that some brands actually tried to use the viral moment in their marketing campaigns, thinking they were being clever or trendy, but instead, they ended up getting called out for being insensitive and just trying to profit off something that clearly involved real people, real consequences, and a serious breach of workplace boundaries. It became another classic case of how we tend to overlook the seriousness of a situation the moment it turns into internet content.

Trends and memes:

Red Line (Trend)

The red line trend comes from the Korean drama S Line, where red threads above people’s heads reveal who they've been intimate with. The internet turned it into a viral meme, drawing red lines in photos to joke about emotional ties, crushes, or even random obsessions.

Jet2 Holiday Ad (Meme)

If you’ve been hearing “Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday” non-stop on your feed and wondering why everyone’s suddenly obsessed with this audio. Well, it’s from a British budget airline advertisement. Jet2 put out this super cheerful campaign with Jess Glynne’s “Hold My Hand” playing in the background, probably hoping to give off those cheerful vacation feelings. But, of course, the internet had other plans. People started using this upbeat audio in the most chaotic situations possible, and turned it into a trend.

I knew the day I met him, I'd wear a white dress (meme)

We’ve all had our fair share of dramatic teenage heartbreaks, the kind we later brush off as “character development.” A trend on Instagram is making fun of certain breakups that felt a little more intense than one can imagine. The meme starts with the caption “I knew the day I met him, I’d wear a white dress…” making you think it’s going to be a fairytale wedding moment, but then the next slide is a photo of a straight-up asylum gown. People are using it to poke fun at how deeply they spiralled over someone who now feels like a distant memory (or a walking red flag).

Siblings (meme)

You know how siblings can turn out completely different from each other, even though they were raised in the same home? That contrast is all over the internet right now, with people making memes about how one sibling is the overachiever or the calm one, while the other is more laid-back, unpredictable, or just doing their own thing.

Trending Songs

This week, people have been enjoying all the trending choreography, as usual. Songs like Tadpaoge Tadpa Lo have gone viral again and while some love the emotional vibe, others aren't too sure about the lyrics. At the same time, the Saiyaara album is everywhere online, riding on the wave of the film’s success.
