Whether it was lighthearted trends or heavier discussions, social media this week had a lot for people to talk about. Here’s what stood out to us.

There’s always something on the internet getting everyone talking, and this week brought its own set of updates that drew wide conversation across platforms.

Some conversations that caught our eye!

Tanya Singh's viral video

A video of newlywed bride Tanya Singh playing the guitar and singing under a traditional ghunghatbecame a major talking point on social media this month. Viewers praised her musical talent but also questioned why relatives kept adjusting her veil while she performed. The clip opened up a wider online conversation about cultural expectations placed on brides, and many creators joined in by making skits and commentary that highlighted, and often mocked, the pressure women still face at weddings.

Nancy Tyagi's collab with Tyla

Grammy winner Tyla made her first Indian appearance at the Indian Sneaker Festival 2025. Alongside the performance, her special collaboration with 23-year-old fashion influencer Nancy Tyagi drew a lot of attention online. She dressed the singer in a saree-inspired ensemble and added a bindi to complete the look, which is a styling choice that became a major talking point on social media, with fans discussing the fusion moment and celebrating the young designer’s influence and creativity.

Mix

We all have that random moment where something just hits right and we feel oddly satisfied. And of course, the internet turned it into a trend, with people sharing all the basic, absurd and slightly questionable things that make them feel at peace.

ChatGPT Wrapped

This trend really picked up around the time everyone was sharing their Spotify Wrapped and looking back at their year. But since Spotify Wrapped has become so mainstream, people started posting their ChatGPT Wrapped instead. That’s what kicked off the trend of asking ChatGPT to sum up their year for them.

Good Goodbye

Hwasa and Park Jeong-min’s “Good Goodbye” performance at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards blew up online, and it has inspired people to recreate the moment in their own style.

Not cute anymore

Korean creators started a trend where they put a small kid in a hoodie, lift the hood so it looks like the child is hanging in mid-air, and the kid kicks their legs as if they’re trying to run but can’t move forward. It’s easily one of the cutest trends going around this week.

Low-key connections

There’s a trend going around where people are playfully reminding everyone that just because they don’t post their friends or loved ones, it doesn’t mean they’ve drifted apart. It’s a light-hearted way of saying that real connections don’t always need to be online.
