'Captain Taiwan!' Fans are elated after Twitch Streamer Ray, aka Rayasianboy, made an announcement of his comeback along with Kai Cenat with an Avengers parody trailer.
At a time when Marvel fans are elated to witness the exclusive line-up of their favourite actors for its upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, the online streamer world got its very own Marvel surprise. Releasing an unexpected trailer, Ray, also known as Rayasianboy on Twitch, decided to announce his comeback to the live streaming world. The announcement had streaming fans excited, and that's all they can talk about.
The Taiwanese streamer is considered one of the top streamers in the world. He was absent from the streaming scene for over five months due to mandatory military service. Leaving the U.S. in early 2024 to serve his home country, his 1.1 million fans eagerly awaited his return to Twitch, where he was frequently seen interacting with other streamers like Kai Cenat and AMP. After completing his service, the streamer chose to collaborate with his fellow streamer and friend Kai for a dramatic video to announce his imminent return to streaming.
The video features him recreating the iconic Captain America recruitment scene from the first Avengers movie. It includes dramatic visual flashbacks of his time in the military as he destroys a punching bag, much like Chris Evans'Captain America. During his routine, Ray is visited by Kai, who portrays the infamous Nick Fury, and hands him an American visa.
In August 2024, Ray released a video addressing then-President Joe Biden and Donald Trump regarding his American visa, which he needed to remain in the United States and continue his content creation journey with Kai and AMP. Kai also mentioned that Ray had been unable to return to the U.S. due to visa issues. This seemed to be resolved according to his comeback video, giving fans another reason to celebrate and express their excitement about his return.
