Whether it’s creators exploring new platforms, achieving major recognitions, or breaking into global stages, last week was full of exciting updates, and this weekly roundup covers it all.
JioHotstar recently announced an exciting lineup of new shows, bringing some of the most well-known influencers and entertainers to the forefront as hosts. Abhishek Malhan hosted a reality show, Game of Greed, that premiered on February 14 while Uorfi Javed and comedian Harsh Gujral made their debut as hosts for the show Engaged: Roka Ya Dokha, a fresh take on a dating show. Meanwhile, Zakir Khan's new talk show Love Life Lafde premiered on JioHotstar along with Ishq Interrupted, which will be helmed by comedian Aditya Kulshreshth.
It was also showering songs this week, as creators and influencers embraced their musical passion. Sushant Divgikr, along with music composer, producer and singer Suhit Abhyankar, through a beautiful and soulful musical tribute to Shiva-Shakti brought the powerful concept of Ardhanarishwara to life. Prajakta Koli and Taaruk Raina are featured in the latest music video for Raazdaariyan, sung by Sagar Bhatia. The song had soulful lyrics that deeply explored the emotions of love and longing shared between two lovers, making it a heartfelt and emotional musical experience. While Sejal Kumar released another musical piece with ‘Kahin chalein’ that's part of her latest EP 'Finding Joy', Zaid Darbar stepped into a whole new space by making his debut as a singer with his track Hella. Pooja Mundhra on the other hand got to experience a major career highlight by walking her first-ever international runway with Uppercase Bags at New York Fashion Week. Amulya Rattan also celebrated a major milestone as she received YouTube’s prestigious Golden Play Button after crossing 1 million subscribers.
