Bachpan Ki Dhun

CRY launches Bachpan Ki Dhun to appeal to the people out there and remind them why a happy childhood is every child's right!

One of India’s most well-known NGOs, Child Rights and You (CRY) has been making a difference in the lives of children for 40 years. Founded in 1979 by Rippan Kapur, the NGO believes in creating happier childhoods for every child. This year, to commemorate CRY’s 40th year of creating happy childhoods and as a part of their larger Children’s Day campaign, CRY has created a music anthem to inspire India to start thinking about the importance of happier childhoods for every child. You are sure to be reminded of all the precious and happy moments of your childhood as CRY launches Bachpan Ki Dhun ft. Ankur Tewari, Benny Dayal, Shalmali Kholgade and Jonita Gandhi!

The idea behind the music video is to help the public remember the unadulterated emotion of being a child. And give them a chance to look at the world through a child’s eyes; their dreams, their hopes, their joys – the simple things that a happy childhood is made of.

With a journey spanning over 4 decades, CRY’s CEO, Puja Marwaha believes that the song is a celebration of efforts, of every person who has helped CRY in reaching the last child. She says,

For the last 40 years, CRY has been working towards ensuring children are happy healthy and creative across India. In our 4 decade journey, we have been able to successfully enroll and harness the potential of hundreds of thousands of people in building a better world for India’s children in their own special ways. It has been so wonderful to see these young, talented and motivated singers come forward and contribute their voices and their art to highlight CRY’s cause by creating this joyful anthem."
