Across 8 episodes, Dahaad does a fine job of keeping you engrossed in its characters according to the Janta.
Created by the makers of Made in Heaven, Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar, Dahaad marks Sonakshi Sinha's OTT debut. With an ensemble cast of Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah and Sohum Shah, this crime mystery thriller series keeps its focus on telling a gripping story of a series of deaths with the same M.O. Set in a small town, Mandwa in Rajasthan, Dahaad centres around sub-inspector Anjali Bhaati (Sonakshi Sinha) solving the case of several women being found dead in public bathrooms which sounds like suicide initially but looks like the work of a serial killer eventually!
The Janta couldn't have enough of Vijay Varma as Anand Swarnakar and some mentioned having watched Dahaad mainly because of him. Some of the Janta appreciated the character development in this show and were impressed with the world building across all episodes.
Here's what the Janta had to say about this one!
Vijay Verma as Anand in #Dahaad - A psychopath done right. Such fine writing, and equally well performed by Vijay.

A performance to remember for years. pic.twitter.com/7dpVXPfuVN
#VijayVarma has reached a significant milestone in his career, where his presence alone attracts audiences to watch the content. Seeing him in the cast is reason enough to tune in. Watch #Dahaad for this marvel of an actor@MrVijayVarma pic.twitter.com/ij0s1dDvIO

Appreciate @reemakagti @FarOutAkhtar & the team of #Dahaad for creating relevant messages for children & women for their safety in a subtle manner in the show. I felt happy as a woman and a mother while watching it as it gave me a sense of relief. Proud/Happy. What a show πβ€οΈπΉ pic.twitter.com/uxTIipAT8y

#Dahaad is outstandingly engrossing precisely due to its unflinching focus on characters' development (their emotional/psychological engine).

Its episodic teasers seem an inspired salute to Fincher's Mindhunter, where BTK Killer's build-up was shown in same ultra-short snippets.
One of the most brilliant (and horrific) things about #Dahaad is how none of the victims feel like lifeless outlines, where we're confusing one for the other. They all feel like three-dimensional individuals with a life story concurrent with the world of the show.

#Dahaad E01-03 Review : #Dahaad is an intricately written cat and mouse chase which shines in the areas of direction, world building and performances. However the screenplay is a bit constrained which boils it down a bit. The layered narrative however gives time for each⦠pic.twitter.com/O3tDiscfLN

What amazing story telling and so many issues around us wrapped in one string.
Superb casting and brilliant role play by even the smallest character in the entire series.
Kudos to Reema, Zoya and the entire production unit. πππ #DahaadOnPrime
