Dahan starring Tisca Chopra released on Disney+Hotstar on September 16. Let’s have a look at all the reactions from the Janta!
Dahan is directed by Vikranth Pawar and written by Nisarg Mehta, Shiva Bajpai, and Nikhil Nair. The story is a mixture of horror and thriller. According to spooky folklore, a village in Rajasthan called Shilaspura was cursed by sorcerer Radhikiyan, who was deceitfully beheaded there. People of Shilaspura still believe that he’s imprisoned there and that if he is ever disturbed, he will create havoc over the village. IAS officer Avani Raut (Tisca Chopra) is a new resident in this village as she came here looking for some change after her husband’s death and the corruption allegations against her. She moves here along with her son Anay (Rohan Joshi) who hates being here and also blames her for his father’s death. The main purpose of Avani coming to Shilaspura is she wants to launch a project to exploit the mines but she constantly fails to receive the villagers’ cooperation.
The village which is headed by the Pramukh (Saurabh Shukla), believes that the mine conceals the lair of a blood-thirsty demon. Her only ally is the mine’s general manager (Jaimini Pathak). Avani is also constantly questioned by Inspector Bhairon (Mukesh Tiwari) and a local goon (Siddharth Bhardwaj). How she tackles the paranormal occurrences there once she opens up the mines and what really is the truth behind these spooky incidents is what Dahan revolves around.
