Check out designers, celebrities and creators who became a part of Day 2 of LFW 2023 celebrating Indian designers and their collections.
The fashion event that began on March 9 kicked off on a high note with all eyes of the fashion world turned to Mumbai to see Indian designers killing it with their well-put and thoughtfully laid out collections. The four-day couture fiesta will see designers and their magnificent collections for the season. Lakme Fashion Week 2023 in partnership with FDCI is a platform for designers to showcase their creative collections. Day 2 was all about patterns, glitter and glam with creators and celebrities walking the ramp for designers.
We saw Shilpa Shetty as the showstopper for Limerick by Abirr n Nanki. Titled ‘Song Of The Valley', the collection celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Kashmir. Sanya Malhotra was the showstopper for Aakriti Grover's label Flirtatious India, a collection that was inspired by the award-winning show ‘The White Lotus'. Designer Siddhartha Bansal had Sanjana Sanghi as the showstopper for the ‘Seven Heaven' collection.
Sobhita Dhulipala aced in a dazzling red gown for designer Tarun Tahiliani and his latest spring/summer collection ‘Ode to this animation-the drape suspended in time'. Sonakshi Sinha walked for Mohit Rai's collection 'Dancing Queen' as she walked on the 80s hit Jimmy Jimmy Aaja Aaja. Designer Anvita Sharma had no showstopper for her label Two Point Two but her collection 'A Warrior's Journey' made a fierce statement with its Japanese patterns of bold hues.
It was also a grand affair for the creator community as Day 2 saw some of our favourites walk the ramp for top designers. Creator Niharika NM was the showstopper for Designer Sameer Madan's Summer Cruise'23 collection ‘Untamed- The Wild Thing'. Sakshi Sindwani looked magnificent as she opened the show for Annu's creation while her fellow creators Riya Jain, Gurleen Gambhir, and Sukhmani Gambhir also walked the ramp looking like pure royalty. Santoshi Shetty looked smokin' as she walked for Aakriti Grover's label Flirtatious India and Juhi Godambe slayed in Limerick by Abirr n Nanki.
