FRIENDS looks

The costume designer behind the iconic FRIENDS looks reveals how the star cast's wardrobe was created.

It was in 2004 that the last episode of Friends aired for the first time. One of Television's top series may have ended there but it left behind the craze, madness and love each fan experienced while watching the show. What made the show so special was its cast -  Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, their chemistry and storylines. It inspired our love lives, our friendships, our lingos and definitely our fashion choices. The iconic FRIENDS looks taught us why leather pants weren't the best choice for a first date or why keeping your cheerleading uniform around wasn't always a bad call.

From Phoebe's eccentric outfits to Rachel's chic fashionista vibes to Chandler's well... Chandler's dressing choices. There are so many FRIENDS looks that have gone viral and attained iconic status over the years. It has been 25 years since and we recently came across a video featuring none other than Debra McGuire the costume designer who took a different route in creating the looks for each character. She began by assigning each one of them a palette of colours and then built their wardrobe from thereon.
