One of Netflix India’s drama series, Delhi Crime – inspired by the bone-chilling Nirbhaya case, wins the Best Drama Series award at the International Emmy Awards 2020.

Netflix‘s crime drama, Delhi Crime, that is based on the most controversial and horrifying story of Delhi’s 2012 Nirbhaya case garners international acclaim as it bags the Best Drama Series award at the 48th International Emmy Awards 2020. The show bagged the award against Germany’s Charité 2 Season 2, the United Kingdom’s Criminal UK and Argentina’s El Jardín de Bronce (The Bronze Garden) Season 2. India had 2 other nominations in this year’s Emmy Awards but unfortunately failed to win the award. Amazon Prime Video‘s Four More Shots Please was nominated for the Best Comedy Series and lost to Ninguem Ta Olhando (Nobody’s Looking). While Arjun Mathur who was nominated in the Best Actor category from another Amazon show Made In Heaven‘s lost to Billy Barratt from Responsible Child.
