Check out the fan reactions after Disney dropped the trailer of the much-awaited live-action prequel Cruella starring Emma Stone.

Disney released the trailer of Cruella, a live-action prequel to the famous Disney movie 101 Dalmations. The movie focuses on the iconic fashionista villain Cruella de Vil who terrorised 101 young puppies to create her one in a million dresses.

Set in 1970s London, Emma Stone will bring the iconic character which was once played by the eccentric Glenn Close. Cruella will be more of an origin story of one of everyone's favourite Disney villains. The story will take us through her journey as an aspiring designer who does everything to get herself and her designs noticed by the wealthiest of the society. A path explaining the birth of Cruella de Vil. The movie, like some of the other Disney releases namely The Malificent aims at giving the audiences a new perspective to find reasons on why the villain is the way she is.

The movie also stars Emma Thompson, Mark Strong, Paul Walter Hauser, Joel Fry, and Kirby Howell-Baptiste. Cruella is directed by Craig Gillespie and is co-written by Dana Fox and Tony McNamara while the story is from Aline Brosh McKenna and Kelly Marcel & Steve Zissis. The movie is set to release in theatres on May 28th, but according to reports, if the current pandemic situation continues, the movie will be streaming on Disney Plus.
