Bollywood characters and Diwali scenes that we'd love to bring to life!

Just like many other festivals, Diwali scenes and characters wearing fabulous Indian clothes are the ultimate go-to for Bollywood as well!

Bollywood has beautifully featured the festival of lights in movies in the most wholesome and creative ways possible. Grand decorations, big joint families all under one roof, and looking their fabulous selves really brings out what Diwali really stands for. We too have time and again set expectations for ourselves during the festive season by looking at Bollywood movies. Diwali scenes really motivate you to turn your glam on and feel like you’re living your Bollywood dreams as well.

Speaking of Bollywood dreams, fashion has always been the biggest influence on us. Be it Shahrukh Khan from K3G looking dapper in his black sherwani or Deepika’s iconic blue saree from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, we’ve all wanted to recreate their outfits and look like a total pataka on Diwali.

The Mehfil was set when Aarti was singing for everyone. It’s every Diwali party ever. While there was some tension in the air between Aisha and Arjun, the scene still stands because of its subtle yet pretty decor.

Hum Aapke Hain Koun!

The 1994 Bollywood movie has a cute Diwali scene where Renuka Shahane’s character gives birth to a little boy during the festive season. The whole family celebrates Diwali on the occasion of his arrival which is memorable due to the iconic number ‘Dikhtana’

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham

The movie begins with a Diwali scene itself. The famous Diwali scene is shown primarily between Shahrukh Khan and Jaya Bachchan where she senses his arrival at home without being aware of it. The movie has a grand dance sequence and the house is filled with color and decor.

Mohabbatein

Another iconic Shahrukh Khan movie, Mohabbatein had a Diwali song Pairon Mein Bandhan Hai. The melodious number has a special place in everyone’s heart especially due to the star-studded cast.
