President Donald Trump becomes the third president to face impeachment by the House of Representatives. He will be facing a trial in Senate which will decide if he remains in the office.

The House of Representatives called for a vote on the US President Donald Trump on two charges. One, abuse of power, for allegedly attempting to pressure Ukraine to announce investigations on Joe Biden, his Democratic rival and second, obstruction of Congress, as he allegedly withheld documentary evidence and refused to co-operate with the impeachment inquiry, reported The New York Times.

After the vote on Wednesday 18th December, Donald Trump became the third President to face impeachment after Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton. Trump will have to face a trial in the Senate for his presidency.
