The hashtag #DressLikeAnIndianWoman was all the rage today, and in case you haven’t heard about it, the hashtag is the result of the modern woman’s outrage against the comments of a Mumbai college Principal.

We have all grown accustomed to hearing things of questionable intellect, but time and again, we end up shocked by the things that some politicians, celebrities and other such simpletons who don’t proof read their thoughts before they speak.

One such thought, “I have heard theories on why girls suffer from PCOD (Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease) at an early age. When they dress like men, they start thinking or behaving like them. There is a gender role reversal in their head. Due to this, the natural urge to reproduce diminishes right from a young age and therefore they suffer from problems like PCODs.” as reported by The Huffington Post India.

Yes, an educational institution that exists solely to impart knowledge to young minds. A principal is the one entrusted with the job to run this noble institution, but sadly, irony always strikes undetected.

Eminent personalities took mere moments to respond to such atrocious comments and then there was no turning back.

Twitter retaliated with #DressLikeAnIndianWoman, and you know the amount of badass-ery to expect. Women tweeted pictures of themselves and female icons, with an underlying message that not the attire but a woman’s achievements are what should always matter!
