Prime Video sets June 23 as premiere date for coming of age comedy series I’m A Virgo
Prime Video announced the premiere date of the highly anticipated mythical coming-of-age comedy I’m A Virgo, starring Emmy-winning actor Jharrel Jerome (When They See Us, Moonlight) with a sneak-peek of the upcoming series. The series is created, written, and executive produced by colorful-sock-wearing filmmaker Boots Riley (Sorry to Bother You), who directed all seven episodes. Jerome also serves as an executive producer. All seven episodes of the Amazon Original series will be available exclusively on Prime Video around the world on June 23.
Vidya Balan’s murder mystery film Neeyat to release on July 7
Vidya Balan will return to the big screen with her upcoming film ‘Neeyat’. The film will be released in theaters on July 7. The film will be directed by Anu Menon and also stars content creator Prajakta Koli, Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Shahana Goswami and Amrita Puri. Neeyat is about a suspense story of an unlikely detective who investigates mysterious murders at a billionaire’s party.

Writers are on strike in Hollywood as after six weeks of negotiation with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), the Writers Guild of America, which represents approximately 11,500 people who write the Hollywood shows and movies we watch in theatres and at home, announced that its membership would not work starting May 2. This is related to wanting a fair payday. It’s been 10 days since the strike and many popular series like Stranger Things and Cobra Kai have been delayed.
