Ekta Kapoor is a household name in India and has been for the last 25 years. From producing more than 130 soap operas to launching about 40 web series to having around 40 films under her production banner –there is nothing this amazingly talented woman hasn’t achieved in the entertainment world.

It is this young entrepreneur’s birthday today, and as she turns 44, she’s proven to be a inspiration to many. Ekta Kapoor is the joint Managing Director and Creative Director of Balaji Telefilms, and though everybody now sees her as the television wiz, she has also faced a lot of failures initially. With super hits soap operas like ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’, and ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’, she changed the face of Indian Television and brought a new genre of entertainment altogether.
