As countless headlines compete for our attention, some news still manage to slip under the radar like the announcement of an Indian remake of Brooklyn Nine-Nine with none other than Kunal Kemmu stepping into the role of Jake Peralta. That’s not all! After much speculation, it’s been confirmed that Denis Villeneuve will direct the next film in the James Bond franchise, bringing his signature vision to the iconic spy series. Teaser trailers for Ron Howard’s Eden and Yorgos Lanthimos’s Bugonia also dropped this week, alongside the emotionally charged trailer for Kaalidhar Laapata starring Abhishek Bachchan.

While everyone's still hooked to Jeremy Allen White in the new season of The Bear, the trailer for his upcoming Bruce Springsteen biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere has also been released. Elsewhere, A.R. Rahman collaborated with Pharrell Williams for a special track at Louis Vuitton’s Paris Fashion Week showcase, and Siddhant Chaturvedi brought some Korean flair to a new Crocs ad with K-drama star Chae Soo-bin

Brooklyn 99's Indian adaptation to take place with Kunal Kemmu as Jake Peralta

The Indian adaptation of the iconic American sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is officially in the works, with Kunal Kemmu stepping into the quirky shoes of Jake Peralta. Netflix India is developing the Indian version of Brooklyn Nine-Nine in collaboration with Banijay Asia who recently brought remakes of Monk and Jane The Virgin as Mistry and Oops Ab Kya? Khemu’s casting feels promising given his knack for comedy but it would be interesting to see how the series translates this iconic sitcom into the Indian cultural setting. 

Denis Villeneuve to direct the next James Bond film

Its official! Dune and Arrival director Denis Villeneuve is steering the next chapter of the James Bond saga. Known for his cerebral style and sharp visuals, Villeneuve’s involvement signals a possible shift toward a moodier, more psychological 007. The casting for the next Bond film is still under wraps.

The newest Crocs ad features Siddhant Chaturvedi and Chae Soo-bin

In a campaign that fuels a global Gen Z crossover, Siddhant Chaturvedi and K-drama actress Chae Soo-bin came together for a dazzling new Crocs advertisement. Social Network sequel in the works with Aaron Sorkin as writer and director

Aaron Sorkin is officially writing and directing the sequel, which will explore the post-Cambridge Analytica world of Facebook, rebranded as Meta. While casting details are still emerging, it’s speculated that Jesse Eisenberg may reprise his role. Sorkin has hinted that the story will dive into tech accountability, surveillance capitalism, and the unraveling of tech utopia. 

Traitors India season 2 confirmed

Prime Video announced that season 2 of its gripping unscripted series The Traitors is officially in development. Adapted from the BAFTA and Emmy Award-winning global format by IDTV, The Traitors season 1 has captivated audiences across the country with its high-stakes gameplay, unpredictable twists, and edge-of-the-seat cliffhangers. Since its premiere on June 12, with new episodes dropping every Thursday, the show has sparked a wave of fan reactions and theories across social media, quickly becoming a pop culture phenomenon. 

Ron Howard’s Eden trailer brings apocalyptic beauty

Oscar-winner Ron Howard dropped the trailer for Eden, his survival drama set in the Galápagos Islands, and it looks both haunting and beautiful. With a star-studded cast including Jude Law and Ana de Armas, the trailer teases a philosophical exploration with stunning visuals, moral tension, utopia, human nature and a wilderness story that doesn’t flinch from hard truths. The film is set to be released on August 22, 2025.

A.R. Rahman and Pharrell came together for a fashion symphony at Louis Vuitton Paris Fashion Week 

In an iconic fusion of cultures, A.R. Rahman composed a special Punjabi-inspired track for Pharrell Williams' Louis Vuitton show in Paris. The music set the tone for a runway laid out like a giant Snakes and Ladders board designed by architect Bijoy Jain of Studio Mumbai, inspired by the ancient Indian game. The runway showcased Pharrell Williams's collection which drew inspiration from South Asia while Rahman’s beats added to that vision.

Yorgos Lanthimos drops teaser trailer for his next film Bugonia

Yorgos Lanthimos is back and this time, with Bugonia, a sci-fi satire that’s marketed as “bonkers in the best way.” Starring Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons, the teaser is cryptic, featuring eerie bug-eye imagery, corporate cults, and whispered conspiracy theories. As expected from the director and hinted from the trailer, it’s absurd, stylish, and completely unpredictable which is eyeing for a release on in October, 2025. 

Abhishek Bachchan’s Kaalidhar Laapata trailer dropped 

The trailer for Kaalidhar Laapata, starring Abhishek Bachchan, just dropped and offers an emotional, life-affirming story about second chances. Bachchan plays Kaalidhar, a forgotten middle-aged man who walks out on his family after learning that they plan to leave him in a care home. Along the way, he forms an unlikely bond with Ballu, an orphaned child, leading to a heartwarming road trip filled with bucket-list adventures. A Hindi remake of the Tamil hit KD, the film directed by Madhumita is set to premiere on July 4 on ZEE5.

Trailer of Bruce Springsteen's biopic 'Deliver Me From Nowhere' unveiled

With Jeremy Allen White as The Boss, the film focuses on the creation of Springsteen’s haunting 1982 album Nebraska, with glimpses of his inner creative battles, industry pressures, and deeply personal songwriting journey. Jeremy Strong co-stars as manager Jon Landau, and the trailer teases a stripped-down, intimate portrait of the rock icon’s most pivotal era. Directed by Scott Cooper and based on Warren Zanes' book, the film is set to hit theaters on October 24.
