Amar Singh Chamkila Shines at International Emmys

Diljit Dosanjh earns a nomination for Best Performanceby an Actor, while Amar Singh Chamkila gets nominated for Best TV Movie/Mini-Series at the International Emmys. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the Netflix film explores the life and career of the slain Punjabi folk legend Amar Singh, often called the ‘Elvis of Punjab’. Released in April last year, the film was lauded in the country by everyone. Ali credited Dosanjh for his performance who in reverse credited the director for his vision, highlighting their creative collaboration.

The highly popular rom-com series Nobody Wants This returns October 23 on Netflix

Kristen Bell and Adam Brody reprise their roles as Joanne and Noah in the highly anticipated sequel Nobody Wants This. Their love story continues, exploring the challenges of merging lives and families while staying together against all odds. The series returns on Netflix from October 23, with Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, and Jackie Tohn rounding out the cast.

Daayra Starring Kareena Kapoor and Prithviraj Sukumaran Begins Shoot

Director Meghna Gulzar’s crime drama Daayra, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran, has started filming, as shared by both the actors on their respective Instagram pages. The story promises a hard-hitting look at society’s complex, pressing truths, continuing Gulzar’s legacy of impactful storytelling with acclaimed films like Raazi and Talvar.

Netflix has released the teaser for the very long awaited Stranger Things Season 5, with Volume 1 arriving on November 26, Volume 2 on December 25, and the finale on December 31, 2025, loooking like sorting our winters and end of the year with being obseesed with Hawkins one last time.The series follows the Hawkins gang as they face Vecna amidst a government quarantine, and Season 5 promises the ultimate showdown, uniting all heroes in one last battle.

National Awards 2025 had SRK, Rani Mukerji, Vikrant Massey, Mohanlal, Karan Johar Honoured

Shah Rukh Khan and Vikrant Massey shared Best Actor for Jawan and 12th Fail, respectively. Rani Mukerji won Best Actress for Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway. Mohanlal received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. The awards were conferred by President Droupadi Murmu at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, on September 23, 2025.

Maggie Gyllenhaal’s The Bride! teaser-trailer is out

Maggie Gyllenhaal’s The Bride, a 1930s Chicago take on Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, drops in its intriguing trailer. Jessie Buckley stars as the titular bride, Christian Bale plays Frankenstein, with Peter Sarsgaard, Annette Bening, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Penelope Cruz in key roles. Gyllenhaal also wrote and co-produced the film. Strangely, The Bride! is headed to theaters in March 2026 after Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, the horror meister’s own encounter with Mary Shelley’s classic 1818 novel.
