One of the main highlights of this week is that the highly anticipated film ‘The Archies’ has finally released but its premiere which took place on Tuesday, was the talk of the town. Three of the biggest families from B-Town, the Bachchans, Khans and Kapoors were all under one roof to watch the film and many other popular celebrities also graced the red carpet to show their support for the cast. 2023 has been all about Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and how she single handedly raised the economy, which is why she is also ‘Person of the Year’. And 2024 is going to begin on a high note as Fighter will be released in January, and the main cast looks powerful in the first look posters. Karan Johar is starting his own lipstick range ‘Pout by Karan Johar’ and we’re curious to see what it’s all about!

Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor’s character posters from Fighter unveiled
Fighter, an aerial action film, is an homage to the valor and sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces. Deepika Padukone plays Minal Rathore aka Minni, a squadron pilot at the Air Dragons unit. Hrithik Roshan plays Shamsher Pathania aka Patty, another IAF Squadron Pilot. Anil Kapoor plays Rakesh Jai Singh aka Rocky, Commanding Officer of the Air Dragons Unit. The posters of all three characters were unveiled earlier this week. Fighter will be released on the big screen on Republic Day 2024.
Taylor Swift named Time Magazine’s Person of the Year
Time Magazine named Taylor Swift as its 'Person of the Year', calling her "hero of her own story." "Taylor Swift found a way to transcend borders and be a source of light... Swift is the rare person who is both the writer and hero of her own story," Time editor-in-chief Sam Jacobs wrote in a statement.
The Archies premiere took place this week and it was a star studded affair
Two days before the highly anticipated film was released, the makers held a grand premiere at the NMACC. It was after a very long time that we saw so many popular faces of Bollywood under one roof. Shah Rukh Khan was in attendance with his entire family to support Suhana Khan and so was the Bachchan Parivaar for Agastya Nanda. Janhvi Kapoor dazzled in a black dress to be there for her younger sister’s first film and Shanaya Kapoor and Ananya Panday were also there to witness their best friend's debut. Ranbir Kapoor also graced the carpet along with his mother, and Hrithik Roshan who we rarely see at such events was also present along with his girlfriend. It was truly a star studded night for Zoya Akhtar and The Archies gang.

Netflix released the trailer for the live-action adaptation of the hit Manga ‘Yu Yu Hakusho’
Written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi, the original manga series centers around protagonist Yusuke Uramesh, a troubled teen who dies in a car accident while trying to save a child who runs into the middle of the road. But Yusuke's death is short lived. After passing a series of tests in the afterlife that earn him the title of "Underworld Detective," the 14-year-old street-fighter returns to the human world to solve supernatural mysteries. The titular role is played by Takumi Kitamura and will be available to stream on Netflix on December 14.
