There’s never a dull day in the world of cinema, and we’re back to give you a quick update about all the highlights so far! Successful director duo Raj and DK are making an epic fantasy drama for Netflix, and Aditya Roy Kapur has been roped in to play the lead. In the era of adaptations, we have the Indian adaptation of the iconic American medical drama ‘House’ coming soon, and the lead is to be played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The first poster of yet another mythological epic, ‘Kannapa,’ starring Prabhas as Rudra, was released.

The thriller series ‘Zero Day’ on Netflix will be exploring the complexities of the American political landscape and Robert De Niro will be helming the project. Well, that’s not the only thriller series, there’s an upcoming reunion of Matt Damon and Ben Affleck for ‘RIP’ that we can look forward to as well! After gaining fame from ‘Rocket Boys’, Ishwak Singh is now set to lead yet another show on Amazon MX Player called ‘Mitti Ek Nayi Pehchan,’ and we’re intrigued to see what his character is like in the show!

Aditya Roy Kapoor to lead Raj and DK’s upcoming series for Netflix

After making successful series like Family Man, Guns & Gulaabs, and Farzi, Raj and DK, the creator duo, are all set to helm the epic fantasy series Rakt Bramhand – The Bloody Kingdom' that promises of a visceral journey into a kingdom of dark fantasy, where brutal action and breathtaking visuals collide. The series is led by Aditya Roy Kapoor, and other pivotal characters in the show are Ali Fazal and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who plays his love interest in the show.   

Nawazuddin Siddique to lead Indian adaptation of ‘House’

According to speculations, the acclaimed actor will play the lead role in Banijay Asia's Indian adaption of the classic American medical drama 'House' for Disney+ Hotstar. Filming is scheduled to start in mid-2025, and the movie is now in pre-production stages, with screenwriter-turned-director Vijay Maurya directing. Hugh Laurie's portrayal as a brilliant but unorthodox medical genius in the American adaptation will be replaced by Nawazuddin Siddique. David Shore's original series, which ran for eight seasons from 2004 to 2012, focused on the life of Dr. Gregory House, a smart but cynical diagnostician who effectively manages a group of medical professionals at a renowned hospital despite his reliance on painkillers.

Prabhas’ first look as Rudra from ‘Kannappa’ revealed

Prabhas is all set to act in yet another mythological epic. In the poster, he presents himself as Rudra, the divine guardian. The mythological epic, starring Vishnu Manchu in and as 'Kannappa' will release on April 25, 2025. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the film also features Mohan Babu, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal, and the details for their roles are yet to be announced.

Zero Day’ to premiere on Netflix on February 20

A former U.S president, played by Robert De Niro, is called out of retirement to find the source of deadly cyberattacks. Based on the intel that he gets, he starts investigating only to discover a vast web of lies and conspiracies. ‘Zero Day,’ directed by Eric Newman, Noah Oppenheim, and Michael S. Schmidt, will be streaming on Netflix from February 20 onwards.

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck reunite for their new thriller series ‘RIP’

The writer-director Joe Carnahan is bringing Matt Damon and Ben Affleck together for the new crime thriller titled RIP which follows a team of Miami police officers who discover millions in cash in a derelict stash house, and their trust in each other begins to fade. As more people from the outside find out about the seizure, they don't know who they can rely on. The cast also includes Steven Yeun, Kyle Chandler, Teyana Taylor, and Sasha Calle, The movie is set for release in fall 2025.

Amazon MX player’s new series 'Mitti - Ek Nayi Pehchaan' trailer released

The protagonist Raghav's (Ishwak Singh) journey in ‘Mitti - Ek Nayi Pehchaan’ is a poignant exploration of his dual existence as a successful corporate professional while he nurtures a profound connection to his village roots. Central to Raghav's transformative journey are relationships he left behind with his family and the one he develops with the local District Collector, Kratika. What begins as a simple loan repayment for his deceased grandfather evolves into a commitment to transform the traditional farming practices through modern agrarian methods. Mitti depicts the potential of farming success seen in the numerous real life stories of new-age agri-entrepreneurs.The releasing date of the series is yet to be announced.

Stranger Things season 5 first glimpse released

A brand-new teaser for Stranger Things Season 5 was just released by Netflix. The brief but impactful teaser has made references to a huge twist involving Millie Bobby Brown's character Eleven. Jane Hopper, better known as Eleven, has vanished and all of Hawkins is looking for her. Her name and face appear on numerous "Missing Teen" posters, leading people to wonder what led her to go missing. Stanger Things 5 wil be available to stream on Netflix later this year.
