In the current era of sequels, 'Main Hoon Na' is in talks to be the next one, re-unting the iconic actor-director duo of Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan. But that's not the only thing the internet is going crazy about! The recent Ed Sheeran and A.R. Rahman collab at the former's concert has made fans of both artists rather ecstatic. Sohum Shah starrer ‘Crazxy' poster released
Written and directed by Girish Kohli, 'Crazxy' is about a man who has 60 minutes to save his daughter, but if he does, he will end up in jail! The trailer shows him on a call with an unknown man who’s blackmailing him. The film seems like a promising thriller and is set to release in theaters on February 28.
'Main Hoon Na' sequel is in works with Shah Rukh Khan returning as lead
Farah Khan's Main Hoon Na released in 2004 and even after 21 years, it holds an important space in our hearts. Shah Rukh Khan peaked his romantic hero era with the character Major Ramprasad Sharma. According to speculations, a sequel of the iconic film is currently in its earlier stages and the dynamic director-actor duo is going to be back soon!
Grasse Pointe Garden Society to premiere on February 23
The drama series is directed by Jenna Bans and Bill Krebs. The plot is set in a wealthy suburb where everything feels perfect, but in reality, they are trying to bury the evidence of a scandalous murder. The four members of the garden club who are involved in this drama are Birdie (Melissa Fumero), Catherine (Aja Naomi King), Alice (Anna Sophia Rob) and Brett (Ben Rappaport).
‘Pyaar Testing' set to release on Zee5 on February 14
Dhruv, played by Satyajeet Dubey and Amrita, played by Plabita Borthakur, are introduced to each other as each others prospect of marriage. They decide to do a four-month live-in with the parents as a ‘testing period ‘ before getting married to see if they are compatible. But that only leads to many conflicts. Will they still be able to fall in love is something that we unfold next week.
Vikrant Massey begins filming for Raj Kumar Hirani’s OTT debut
Reports suggest that Arshad Warsi and Vikrant Massey will lead the cast of 'Trojan', a cybercrime series coming to Disney+ Hotstar. The show will feature Warsi as a traditional police officer and Massey as his modern, tech-focused colleague. Trojan will mark Rajkumar Hirani's debut into the OTT world and we're rather intrigued to see how that goes!
Prime Video starts filming for original series Gram Chikitsalay
Prime Video starts the production on its original series 'Gram Chikitsalay,' a comedy-drama from the creators of numerous hit shows, The Viral Fever (TVF). Starring Amol Parashar, Anandeshwar Dwivedi, Akash Makhija, Garima Vikrant Singh, Vinay Pathak, and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, 'Gram Chikitsalay' is a comedy-drama about a city doctor adjusting to life at a small-town health center, where he encounters unexpected friendships, hilarious situations, and a journey of self-discovery as he learns to adapt to a community with its own unique rules.
Kristen Bell and Adam Brody begin filming for Nobody Wants This season 2
'Nobody Wants This' is a romantic comedy that delivers on all fronts, focusing on the star-crossed romance between Joanne, played by Kristen Bell, a Los Angeles podcast host, and Noah played by Adam Brody, a soulful rabbi. The show was one of Netflix's most popular show last year and the leads have begun filming for season 2 starting this month.
The Diplomat starring John Abraham is set to release on March 7
The Diplomat, directed by Shivam Nair, was unveiled earlier this week and it shows a never-seen-before side of John Abraham as Indian diplomat JP Singh. His wit and negotiation will take center stage as he tries to repatriate an Indian girl, Uzma Ahmed, played by Sadia Khatib, from Pakistan, where she was deceived into marrying against her will. The film will release on the big screens on March 7.
Ranbir Kapoor set to launch own fashion and lifestyle brand, ‘ARKS.’
The release of ‘ARKS’ was announced by an Instagram post with a video which shows people how the brand was shaped. It shows Kapoor cycling through the city of Mumbai and talking about the significance Mumbai for him. He's seen riding past famous landmarks like Marine Drive, Sea Link, and a mural of his late father, Rishi Kapoor, at Bandstand, portraying his personal connection to the brand and the city. He then reveals the first shoe that he has designed for his brand in front of his best friend Rohit Dhawan. ARKS will officially launch on February 14.
Neena Gupta starrer ‘Hindi-Vindi’ trailer released
Seventeen-year-old Kabir, played by Mihir Ahuja, is struggling with his Indian identity and a language barrier. The plot moves further when his grandmother, played by Neena Gupta, comes to live with him in Sydney. Their strained relationship finds solace in music, but tragedy strikes when she suffers a cardiac arrest. Driven by love and to connect with her better, Kabir embarks on a mission to learn Hindi. The film will release on the big screens on February 27.
Diljith Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah and Vedang Raina to star in Imtiaz Ali's period drama
After the success of his OTT film 'Chamkila', Imtiaz Ali is working on his next project which is a period drama. The film marks his second collaboration with Diljit Dosanjh and also stars Naseeruddin Shah and Vedang Raina in the lead. The story is a blend of vintage and contemporary. While the female leads are yet to be announced, we're excited to see what this film has in store for us!
