The month of May is officially upon us and as we anticipate the MET Gala and the Cannes Film Festival, there are quite a few things that need our attention as well. 

For instance, Vikrant Massey is set to play an iconic role in a biopic and add yet another versatile character to his filmography. Martin Scorsese is going to back up Neeraj Ghaywan’s Homebound and this was a crossover we didn’t even know we needed! Meanwhile, Greta Gerwig has roped in Emma Mackey to play the evil White Witch in the new Narnia movie. Dev Patel’s next film is in the works and we’re rather intrigued to know what it’s about. Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt’sThe Smashing Machine’ trailer came out this week and the actor looks unrecognizable in the first glimpse of the film.

It will be the untold story of India’s spiritual diplomacy in international political scape.

Emma Mackey cast as White Witch in new Narnia movie

After her collaboration with Greta Gerwig in Barbie, Emma Mackey is now set for her second project with the director for the new adaptation of the Narnia series. The movie produced by Netflix is currently slated for release on Thanksgiving Day 2026. Emma Mackey will be playing the White Witch which was previously played by Tilda Swilton in the original film. 

HBO drops trailer for Steve Carrell starrer Mountain Head 

From the makers of HBO’s most popular series ‘Succession’ comes yet another HBO original film called ‘Mountain Head’. The film stars Steve Carrell, Jason Shwartzman, Ramy Youssef, and Corey Michael Smith. The log line of the movie says that it is about four billionaire friends who get together against the backdrop of a rolling international crisis. Mountain Head is set to release on May 31.

Academy Award-winning director Martin Scorsese has turned Executive Producer for Neeraj Ghaywan's second feature film Homebound ahead of its Cannes Film Festival premiere next month. The film stars Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor. Karan Johar took to his Instagram to share that Martin Scorsese had watched Neeraj’s first film ‘Masaan’ and loved it, hence he became curious to watch his next one and was willing to help bring it to a bigger platform.

Dev Patel to write, direct and star in ‘The Peasant’

Dev Patel is set to direct his next project, which he will star in, write and direct. This will be his second directorial after the much talked about ‘Monkey Man’. The film will be set in medieval India and is titled ‘The Peasant’. The film will be a high-adrenaline revenge actioner. Set in the 1300s, the film centres around a shepherd who unleashes a furious campaign against a group of mercenary knights who ravaged his community, revealing himself to be much more than an ordinary man.

Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt starrer ‘The Smashing Machine’ trailer released 

The trailer of Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt starrer 'The Smashing Machine' has been unveiled. Dwayne aka The Rock, looked completely unrecognisable in the trailer of the biopic about two-time UFC heavyweight champ Mark Kerr. The film is set to release on the big screens on October 3.
