Bollywood production houses send in their applications for trademarking ‘Operation Sindoor’

Popular Bollywood production houses sent in their applications less than 24 hours after the Operation Sindoor strike to trademark the name. These production houses are getting flak for it on social media for trying to monetize when the nation is going through such tragedies. Some of the names include Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance, Aditya Dhar’s production house, John Abraham’s banner, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar and Zee Studios. Reliance put out a statement about the same explaining their side of the story as well.

The Ministry of Defence asks media channels and digital platforms to refrain from live coverage or real time reporting

As disclosure of sensitive information may endanger the lives of troops at the border, the Defence Ministry of India has asked media channels and digital platforms to refrain from real time reporting. We have bared the consequences for the same in the past during the Kargil War, the 26/11 attacks and the Kandahar hijacking, says the Defence Ministry in a statement. 

Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi starrer ‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’ to not release in theatre amidst rising tensions in the nation

Rajkummar Rao took to his Instagram to share that his film ‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’ will not be releasing in theatres anymore due to rising securing concerns. The makers and the cast of the film wishes to stand in solidarity with the nation’s spirit and hence instead of a theatrical release, the film will now be out on Prime Video on May 16.
