A Mumbai cabbie, an illustrious pop-star, a guy next door – the odd trio thrown in to help a young girl’s dream come true – Fanney Khan Trailer is out and is indeed promising and refreshing.
It all begins when Fanney Khan’s (played by Anil Kapoor) daughter, aspiring singer decides to audition, but is greeted by a gruesome society shackled by the unrealistic body expectations. Especially, for women. Lata, played by Pihu Sand is dejected and subjected to body shaming leaving her father no choice but to take drastic steps to help her daughter realize her dreams.
Enter – Baby Singh, an ecstatic pop star played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. With Adhir’s (Rajkumar Rao) help Funney Khan kidnaps her and all hell breaks loose.
A tale of passion, love, dreams, and the undying spirit of the lower middle class – Fanney Khan’s trailer is indeed promising and twitterati feel so too.
