The second season of Gullak released on Sony Liv on 15th January. The first season was praised for it’s direction and content and the appreciation continues as fans have reacted positively to Gullak Season 2 as well.

Gullak is a show about family dynamics and has flavors of small-town life. The first season starred Jameel Khan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Vaibhav Raj Gupta, and Harsh Mayar in lead roles. And now the cast is back with the Gullak Season 2 after 2 years on the streaming platform Sony Liv. The first season was highly appreciated for its sweet and simple storytelling and now the second season too has received a great amount of love. The show was also appreciated for its brilliant performances by actors like Jameel Khan who was also seen in Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur, Geetanjali Kulkarni who starred in Court and Photograph, Vaibhav Raj Gupta ( Noor), and Harsh Mayar. (Hitchki). All these actors have done notable work earlier on OTT platforms as well as features. And like season 1, the new season is currently on everybody’s watchlist. Many critics have praised season 2 in their reviews and have recommended this heartwarming show.

Gullak is a TVF Show and like other TVF shows, this show too fits perfectly in the TVF content space. Shows like Panchayat, Hostel Daze, Fathers, and Kota factory from TVF were also appreciated for their performances and effective storytelling. Sardiyon ki narm dhoop jaise kisse lekar, aa raha hai phir ek baar, ‘Mishra Parivar’! Inse milne aaeyega zaroor…sah parivar. This was the slogan the show Gullak used when the trailer was unveiled.
